Editorial policy

Factual accuracy, dated evidence, and clear limits.

Source every material claim

Technical values require a source, source date when available, and review date. Unknown values remain “Not publicly disclosed.” An access date is never substituted for a publication date.

Distinguish evidence quality

Manufacturer Claimed means a manufacturer published the claim. Reported means a credible third party reported it. Verified requires adequate direct documentation or independent evidence with the scope of verification made explicit. Unconfirmed marks insufficient evidence. Performance claims are not independently verified merely because they appear in a product brochure.

Separate claims from demonstrations

A video or demonstration documents a task in a specific setting. It does not prove commercial reliability, unrestricted autonomy, or general-purpose capability. Remote assistance must be disclosed where documented.

Preserve generations and history

Specifications belong to a particular generation and configuration. Older values remain in the history when replaced. Conflicting source values should retain their dates and conditions.

Review proposed updates

Automated research may submit proposed values, evidence, confidence, and a reason. An authorized editor must approve a proposal before it changes a published specification.

Independence

Bipedal Wiki is not affiliated with the companies documented here. Commercial availability, deployments, funding, and leadership require dated sources.
